Successful stenting of all three branches in a patient with single anomalous coronary artery arising from the left sinus of valsalva: A case report

چکیده
Introduction: Single coronary artery with diffuse aterosclerothic disease is an extremely rare anomaly. The therapeuthic options of these case are controversial. Case Report: We report a case of 53yearold man with recent anterior myocardial infarction and postinfarction angina, in whom coronary angiography showed one coronary artery arising from a single ostium in the left sinus of Valsalva giving rise to all branches and severe atherosclerotic coronary disease. The patient underwent successful percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and stenting of all three branches without any complication. Conclusion: Stenting, as an alternative to coronary artery bypass grafting, has become an increasingly attractive option for treatment of stenosis of anomalous coronaries because the longterm results of bypass are less than ideal. For selected cases with adequate guiding support, stenting of atherosclerotic stenosis of the anomalous coronary arteries may be preferrable to surgery.

Clinical Implications of Congenital Absence of Circumflex Coronary Artery
Introduction: Coronary artery anomalies are rare clinical entities reported in 0.6% to 5.6% of diagnostic coronary angiographies. Anomalous origins of coronary arteries from distal segments are rarely reported. Presented herein is a coronary anomaly in which the circumflex artery (CX) originated as a continuation of the posterolateral branch of the right coronary artery (RCA) w...
متن کاملBicuspid Aortic Valve: An Unusual Cause of Aneurysm of Left Coronary Sinus of Valsalva
Bicuspid aortic valve is traditionally considered an innocuous congenital anomaly. Due to a better and widespread availability of non-invasive imaging techniques, it has come to the fore that 30% of these cases develop complications, viz., valve abnormality (aortic regurgitation and stenosis), and aneurysm of aortic root and ascending aorta. Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is an uncommon complicatio...
متن کاملCoronary angioplasty for in-stent restenosis in patient with anomalous single coronary artery arising from right sinus valsalva
Single coronary artery is a coincidental finding during coronary angiography or at autopsy. Although it is a rare condition and most of time has an asymptomatic clinic; prognosis varies. We would like to report a case about percutaneous coronary intervention in a patient who has anomalous single coronary artery arising from right sinus valsalva.
متن کاملAn Unusual Pattern of All Three Coronary Arteries Originating from a Single Coronary Artery Arising from the Right Sinus of Valsalva
Anomalous origin of coronary arteries is generally asymptomatic and a rare disease. However, some cases can cause severe life-threatening events such as myocardial ischemia, arrhythmia, and acute myocardial infarction. We describe a case of a single coronary artery arising from the right sinus of Valsalva in a 48-year-old female patient with a complaint of stable angina pectoris and palpitation...
متن کاملSuccessful percutaneous coronary intervention with stent implantation in anomalous right coronary arteries arising from the left sinus of valsalva: a report of two cases.
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in an anomalous right coronary artery arising from the left sinus of valsalva can be technically challenging because of difficulty in selectively cannulating the vessel. We present two cases of successful stent implantation in an anomalous right coronary artery arising from the left sinus of valsalva. In both cases, we used an oversized 6 Fr Judkins left...
